Find Out About The Mindful Living Retreat

Tickets are now available for The Mindful Living Retreat - a live online retreat to help you to bring some intentional ‘Me Time’ into your day-to-day life, connect to yourself and feel empowered to take control of life’s juggles.

By the end of the retreat you will have the tools you need to implement a self-care plan that works for you, to support your overall wellbeing and to carve out those “me time” moments.

The retreat will take place via Zoom on Sunday 1st May, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Your hosts, Yoga Teacher Alice Rawsthorne of My Self Care Edit, Life and Wellness Coach Jennifer Isles and Florist Mary Elizabeth Flowers, will guide you through a variety of self-care sessions including yoga, mindful floristry, journaling and reflection, meditation and more.

Who will be hosting the retreat?

This retreat is a collaboration between Alice (yoga & meditation teacher, My Self-Care Edit), Jennifer (Life & Wellness Coach, Jennifer Isles Coaching) and Mary (Florist, Mary Elizabeth Flowers). You can find out a little more about each of us below:

Mary: Trained florist, walker, forager, flower-presser. Mary is a classically trained florist who specialises in dried flowers and finds mindful moments in her work.

“Although a florist’s life isn’t as peaceful and charming as one might imagine (think stripping savage thorns from millions of red rose stems long into the night on the run up to Valentine’s Day), we florists are certainly blessed with day-to-day moments where nothing else matters but the curve of a stem or the form of a leaf. As someone who finds traditional meditation difficult, I have realised that working with flowers gives me unexpected opportunities to meditate in a different way.”

As part of the retreat, Mary will be guiding you through Ikebana - a mindful Japanese technique for arranging flowers - which you can follow along with using the dried flowers provided in your retreat box to create your own arrangement.

Jennifer: Wellbeing advocate, peanut butter lover and recovering perfectionist. As an accredited life coach, Jen empowers ambitious people, like you, to step back from the never-ending to do list, to reconnect with yourself, overcome the self-doubt and realign with who you are, what you need and what you want. Jen works with clients to help them slow down so they can prioritise their wellbeing and self-care, manage their mindset, build confidence and self-belief to be their happiest selves. As part of the retreat, Jen will be guiding you through different journaling and reflective activities, and supporting you in creating your personal self-care plan.

Alice: yoga teacher, self confessed over-thinker and founder of My Self-Care Edit. Alice has had some ups and downs with mental health over the past few years, and has seen how much it can not only affect individuals but the people around us too. Daily acts of self care are so important, but can often be most difficult when you're not feeling yourself or when you’re constantly prioritising other people’s needs over your own. As part of the retreat, Alice will be guiding you through an energising yoga flow to help you to get out of your head and into your body, and a calming meditation to help you to reconnect to yourself and what you need.
